About Us

The heritage River Motor Inn is Grafton's newest Motel right in the heart of Big River Country. We are situated a 2 minute walk from the South Grafton CBD, close to railway station, supermarket, fast food outlets, clubs, and boutique restaurants. A scenic walk can be be taken to Grafton across the historic Grafton Bridge, or our new Bridge on Shirley Way which crosses the majestic Mighty Clarence River and into the Grafton CBD.
The Motel is the most central to the Grafton Railway station, which provides Country Link coaches to Byron Bay, Ballina and surrounds. We are family owned and operated and offer friendly and efficent sevice.
The Motel has been designed and built by the owners who have applied great attention to detail with all quality appointments to ensure their guests have a comfortable and memorable stay whilst in Grafton.
The Motel caters for the corporate business sector, travelers, families, the disabled and carers, our rooms are serviced every day by our friendly staff.
Each room has tea and coffee making facilities with kitchen sink, microwave, queen bed and single bed, or queen single and sofa, wall mounted TV's and ironing facilities. The disabled room has a queen bed, and single bed to accommodate a carer. All rooms have air con and ceiling fans. Free Wi Fi is available to all rooms. We can cater for sporting groups with our 2 bedroom units accommodating 6 people. When you book with us you can enjoy a cool westerly afternoon breeze while relaxing on the verandah or cool off in our pool. There is also free courtyard parking inside the grounds.

Getting There	Travelling from Sydney or Brisbane exit the M1 for GRAFTON and travel along the Big River Way (old pacific highway) to South Grafton. Turn right into Bent Street at the roundabout and we are 300 mtrs on the left hand side. Travelling from the North Side of Grafton come across the Grafton Bridge through the first roundabout, turn right at the second roundabout into Bent Street, and we are 300 mtrs along on the left hand side. If travelling from the tablelands down the Gwydir Highway turn left at the roundabout into Bent Street and travel 300 mtrs and you will find us on th left.

Things To Do	Grafton is a gracious, historic city in The Clarence Valley Farming District. Grafton is renowned for it's beautiful Jacaranda Trees and is world renowned for the yearly Jacaranda Festival held from the last week end in October until the first weekend in November. The Beautiful Clarence River Hosts the annual Bridge to Bridge Ski Race October long weekend. Sailing and Rowing regatta's are also an annual event on the mighty Clarence River. We host the biggest Country Race meeting in July every year. The Clarence River Country Muster in October will be another yearly event due to it's huge success in 2013. While visiting Grafton you can't go past our historic churches and buildings. The South Grafton CBD is also renowned for its old historic buildings and cottages. St Patricks Catholic Church South Grafton was built in 1881. We have beautiful pristine beaches within a 40 min drive. A walk through our National Parks is also a great way to spend a day whilst visiting our beautiful town.
